News: JBL MS-8 Digital Processor Coming Soon

Digital processors are gaining in popularity in recent times, particularly as consumers and enthusiasts race to find OEM intergration solutions for vehicles. The Audison BitOne processor has pretty much had this market sewn up to date, but with the recent change of distributor it could be some time until the BitOne units are available again in Australia.

Perhaps coincidence, but JBL distributor 'Convoy International' have just this week announced that the MS-8 processor is 'coming soon'. This is much more than they could tell us some months ago when we contacted them requesting information on this unit when it was released in other parts of the world. Actually, even getting a return phone call was a challenge! There are a handful of units in Australia already that die hard enthusiasts have had no choice but to import from overseas despite their best efforts at purchasing locally, but the initial feedback is very good.

It will be good to see some choice available on the market for digital processing and factory intergration solutions.

According to JBL, just folllow the step-by-step procedure and the MS-8 maximises frequency response, bass performance, dynamics, clarity, detail and stereo imaging - every important parameter of sonic greatness - from virtually any combination of factory-installed or aftermarket components.

And after it works it's magic? You'll be left with a 31-band graphic equaliser and a full set of preamp controls to fine tune the day-to-day operations.

We'll be keen to get our hands on an MS-8 and put it through it's paces - we'll keep you up to date with the developments.
