News: JVC Launches Stylish KW-AVX836

JVC (Victor Company of Japan, Limited) announces the launch of its new double-DIN multimedia entertainment centre, the KW-AVX836. The new Bluetooth® equipped AV centre is state of the art and features a high-quality detachable 7-inch widescreen. The screen doubles as the control interface for both touch screen controls and Motion Sensor.

The centre provides control of iPod and iPhone either via the screen or directly on the device for in-vehicle entertainment and a detachable face panel for maximum security. The KW-AVX836 features graphical user interface (GUI) and song information display in 16 languages as well as advanced EQ, bringing both practicality and style to your dashboard.

Primary Features:

Bluetooth Wireless Technology

The KW-AVX836 comes with built-in wireless Bluetooth technology, allowing drivers to sync their mobile phones and safely make calls whilst on the road. Changing from hands-free to a private conversation can be done by pressing the on-screen phone icon. The receiver also has the capability to connect two phones simultaneously so the driver and passenger can both have their phones paired (connected) or if the driver has two phones (such as business and personal), either can be answered with ease.

The included wired microphone offers flexible positioning for clear voice communication. The receiver also comes with Phone Book Access Profile (PBAP) for iPhone, which allows dialling from your mobile phonebook without manual transfer of numbers. Additionally, up to 400 numbers can also be manually transferred from compatible mobile phones.

Motion Sensor

For seamless touch screen control, the Motion Sensor feature allows for the screen to detect an approaching hand which illuminates the under screen control keys. When left untouched, the keys disappear showing only the main screen.

USB Audio and Video for iPod/iPhone

USB connection for iPod/iPhone provides clear digital sound with full speed transfer and control, and also charges the device at the same time. iPod/iPhone video content can also be played with the optional KS-U30 cable. In addition, to iPod/iPhone connection, the unit plays MP3/WMA/WAV audio files and JPEG/MPEG1/2 video files from a digital audio player or flash memory by USB connection.

AdvancedEQ

AdvancedEQ settings boost the frequency ranges usually absorbed in the car, and adjust the sound to best fit the human ear, delivering dynamic sound even with ordinary speakers.

Detachable Face Panel

The double-DIN face panel can be removed and carried in the included case for additional security when leaving the car.

GUI

The 7-inch widescreen monitor offers dynamic AV entertainment, while also functioning as a user-friendly touch panel. Four GUI designs are offered in 12 colours. Both GUI and song information is available in 16 languages: English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish, Danish, Russian, Persian, Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Korean.

Navigation Ready

The unit can be connected to an optional navigation unit via RGB input.

The KW-AVX836 multimedia receiver is available now from all authorised JVC retailers. The JVC KW-AVX836 has an RRP $1,399 and will be available in April 2010.

JVC also announced the KW-AVX736 as an alternative multimedia solution for those who do not need Bluetooth connectivity via the receiver. The KW-AVX736 has an RRP $1,199 and will also be available in April 2010.
