Does anybody own or have heard one of the new line of Audison SRx amps?? In partiular the SRx 3 model? I was looking at this amp to run my front splits and the PG sub. What sort of SQ sould be expected form this, and how would it compare to the amp i currently use (See Sig.)

i'm not sure of the power specs on the altec. however, they are not renowned for their high SQ.

the SRx is a good series of amps from the look of it. i'll be using the small SRx2 to run my centre channel (which doesn't of course mean it's automatically good! ). i haven't hooked it up yet.

they rely on technology filtered down from the more expensive LRx and even VRx series amps. this can only be a good thing. so i have no doubt the SQ is excellent for the money, as will be the power outputs and gutsy nature of their ability to drive speakers/subs. the build quality is 'ok', nothing special, but fairly classy none-the-less.

what impedence is your sub? 2ohm or 4ohm. only that the SRx3 produces its best power driving a 2ohm sub, although still very good at 4ohm. nice steep 24dB/oct LP filter too.

for your setup of splits/sub, i think it will be excellent. the quality of the amp matches the speaker/sub quality nicely.

good luck

heheh yer i dont think they would be considered an SQ sort of amp. The power ratings of the amp are 4x60rms or the way i run it 2x60 and 1x180rms.
Thanks for ya help.

I reckon, audioson is just a ripoff of Audison, just like Rockwood and RF...

May I suggest a nice Ferris amp for you sir!

All that counts is that you enjoy what you have.
