i use this unit so have some experience with it. basically, the TA works by allowing you to adjust the delay by entering the distance in "centremeters" for each speaker in your system, being:
- Front Left
- Front Right
- Rear Left
- Rear Right
- Left Sub
- Right Sub
so in theory, you enter the distance in 'cm' from each speaker to your headrest, and its aligned (though in reality it doesnt work quite that easily). i find that adjusting the delay of each speaker by ear works well using a test disc playing centre stage information only (just get the lady talking to appear in the middle of the dash, and your there).
you can save up to 5, or i think maybe 6, TA presents, so you can make one for you and one for the girlfriend etc as you can TA each speaker individually, it is very flexible - though if you are running an 'active' stage and want to TA the tweet and mid seperately etc, you will have to run one from the front RCA and the other from the rear RCA etc.
any more questions please ask, its a great head unit and sexy as hell

T-Bro, since there are so many features, i'm getting confused! and the manual isnt as helpful as I'd like!
With the EQ, "band" = bandwidth right? what does "Q" mean?
And do you know what kind of frequency curve each EQ mode is set at? Sedan-1, Sedan-2 etc etc? I find Sedan-2 is the best though...
Also, it says whenever I want to save something, hold down the 2 and 3 buttons for 2 or more seconds, is this right? as it doesnt make a beep when I do it?
I basically have a problem of when I wanna change a setting, it turns off or goes back to default and I find myself making things worse!

yep, you can adjust TA by ear, get a test CD (or any cd) where you know that someone is talking from the centre of the stage only. then experiment with delaying left, then right etc, until you can shift that voice to the centre of the dash where it belongs.
for the EQ, 'band' means the frequency band you want to adjust (cut or boost) for example midbass at 100hz or treble at 12kHz, and 'Q' means the width of the band that gets adjusted (low Q is wide and affects many frequencies next to the band, high-Q is very narrow and precise and only effects the band your adjusting).
probably best to deactivate the EQ presets like sedan-1, wagon etc, they're for the amateurs you will have better luck tuning the parametric EQ yourself, as it is 1/3 octave and hence able to zoom in on any problem area you might have.
as for saving presets, once you have set it, normally you press the ENT key, or hold down the preset number you want to allocate it to (ie only one number) and it should beep back at you. i cant remember the exact procedures (am at work) but thats basically how it works.
the manual is a bit weird, but after you read it a few times and experiment, you will master it
so what do you think of the sound quality, as compared to your previous unit?

It's definately a cut above the old deck, but I was using a Pioneer 8250, so it wasnt like a MASSIVE jump...
When I save the settings, it definately doesnt beep... so not sure whats going on... I'll sit down and tune it properly tonight, if I have any problems i'll let ya know!

mate, to be honest, i dont use the EQ features of the headunit (they are disabled in PrologicII mode) so i am relating more from what i used to do with my DRX9675z, than the 925.
have another read of the manual, i actually read mine over one whole week, over and over on the train to and from work, before i installed it or used it, to make sure i knew what i was doing
i'll have a play around on the weekend and see what i can find out, in the meantime, readup and experiment i guess

as for getting the EQ presets to save, i still dunno, to be honest i havent even touched my system for over a week (partially disassembled). but i swear, once you have set each part of the EQ, you press and hold the ENT key until it beeps back at you...
sorry havent been much help
