ok ive made up some new kick panels for my car which are totally enclosed. like the speaker is in a small sealed box. first off in the tut i read they said to cut a hole say 3" wide in the bottom so that the speaker can vent a little into the floor carpet. should i do this or jsut leave it sealed? also is it worth putting some soud deadener on the inside of the pod or will it do more harm then good

what speakers are going in the kick pods?
if they're tweets or sealed midrange speakers, then you won't need to do anything except mount them.
if they're not a sealed-unit speaker, then you need to consider what size enclosure they may need. a midrange speaker won't need much of a sizable enclosure, so the sealed pod may be fine.
adding in a hole may create unpredictable results. if the hole means the soundwaves from the back of the speaker cone easily passes to the front, it may cause a loss in low-end response from that driver (much like holding the speaker freely in your hand, the bass/low-end will be poor). if the purpose is to vent the back of the speaker into a bigger cavity without significant communication with the front of the speaker, then that should improve low-end response.
sound deadener and/or dacron should reduce audible resonance, so worth considering.

wat ive got goin into em is the woofers from a set of DLS MS6 splits and yes john i used enough harder and angled em as perfect as i could. the top of the woofer. about the size of 2 50c pieces is obstructed by the glove box but its the best i could do with the space

hmm, as part of a 2-way system you will depend upon them to produce your midbass. that unfortunately may be a big problem where the kickpanels only provide a small enclosure (unlike a door cavity) and are not solid (which i gather you've addressed).
ideally, you may need to have the kickpanel extend into whatever extra space there is behind. in the past, people have gone to extreme lengths by creating enclosure extensions up under the dash, into the front fender, outside the car, and into slim enclosures under the carpet of the floor.
probably best to just try it out first and see whether you are happy with the results. then go from there.
good luck
