Leaning towards a SQL set up and wanted some suggestions on amps that will pump out around the 2000wrms figure.
Budget is around the 2k mark and so far ive looked at a Lanzar Opti2000D and the Crossfire VR2000D, dare say the Lanzar would be the pick of the 2.
Would love a Vrx 1.500 but ends up just a little to dear for me.
So any other suggestions would be appreciated.

Different amps are optimised to different loads.
eg Crossfire 1000 ideals to 2 ohms, the 2000 to 1 ohm etc.
The JBL 1200.1 has a lot of grunt and is pretty clean.
MTX 81000D is good buying and works nicely too.

Your post came in whilst writing my reply.
Subs havnt been purchased yet but i would run the Lanzar and Crossfire at 1ohm each.
The option i considered is 2 JL 1000-1's which i could run at whatever 1.5-4 ohm.
I guess dual 2's at 4ohm would be the best set up?

My mistake, your right in the x-fire is 2000@2ohm and would only be ok for small burps, for the same amount or a little more im sure there's alot of better amps out there thats why i thought id ask what you,ve all experienced, like D2's apparently have abit of a bad rep for overloading ect.
The x-fire was just one suggested to me.

Anyways - just my 2c really - I wouldn't be running at any less than 2 ohms for any sort of SQ application. I haven't really got much experience in this area - but from what you read - it seems that you'll probably get better SQ from the increased control the amp has over the speakers at a higher impedance level.
So say the amp does 2000W RMS @ 1 ohm - then just wire it for say 1000 WRMS @ 2 ohms for daily use. Then wire it for 1 ohm for SPL runs etc.
As I said - haven't got huge experience in the area - it's just what I'd do...
