does anyone have one of these?
ive been trying to get one and have been told by alpine they dont have them yet.
does anyone know any places which i would be get one?
what do think about them, i have a sq system but the 7 band EQ on my Alpine 7969 is not giving me accurate adjustment which shows up on the RTA.would the 31 band EQ in this unit help or should i look at other products that would be better.

i've been looking at this unit for a while now and to me seems like a very nice processor that will do exactly what you want it to do...

It has 8 channel time correction and x-over,
31 band graphic eq for fronts, 31 forcentre and 31 for rear and 10 band graphic for sub, or 5 band para eq for front, 5 for centre, 5 for rear and 5 for sub.

It also has phase correction and auto setup with the included mic...

In the Alpine range the only better processor you can get is the PXA-H900 but unless you got a spare $6999 for it get it out of your mind real quick

They are complaining on the U.S. forums they are not on the shelves there yet either, but look like an excellent product.

the catalogue says you can use this to play DVDs with any head compatible head unit right but i dont understand how it does this...i mean its just a decoder dont you still need something that can play DVDs like a DVD changer or another DVD HU....unless i'm missing something?

Retail is meant to be about $1500? Wow! That makes it pretty cheap considering the feature list. Puts it (and a nice Alpine HU, 7969/7998 etc) right up there with such combo's as the pioneer premier pair (P9 something or other). Now if alpine would just make a few decks with less flashy lights

Hmm how would this go if i switched my HU to 3 way mode (High/Mid/Low output instead of Front/Rear/Sub?) what would the eqs be then?
Ive liked this ever since it came out.

If only they would make a model in between that didn't have a dolby etc decoders, for ppl not using dvds screens etc

yeah, don't be confused, it's only a processor, and does not itself play DVDs. so yes, you'd need a separate DVD player.

I can't wait either.. This will be a nice step up from my Pioneer AVM-P8000 (Pro-Logic) towards Dolby Digital and Alpine goodness
