I need a quality 10" sub for my new S.Q.system that will give it's best when given 400WRMS
Has anyone here owned or heard any of these subs others have recommended to me?
Eclipse 88100.4 Aluminium
" " 87101.4
Boston Acoustic Pro 10.5
I.D. IDQ (Max10)?
P.G. Ti10, Ti10D
Peerless XLS10
Hertz Air Mille Air2500
Other?
I'm looking for the best result possible.
None of these subs are available to listen to locally so if anyone can recommend a particular sub I'll track one down in Brisbane or the G.C. to have a listen.
Thanx.

All of those would be for sealed use only IMO.
Hearing well set up examples in a car is the hard part.
The Image Dynamics has to be the "sure thing" of moderately priced SQ subs, talk to Hutch for help there.
The Kicker square is one of those "taste" things. They have a distinctive sound and if you dig that sound they are compelling.....ask anyone with an L7.
The PGs I will reserve judgement on until my twin 12s are run-in (not in the car yet) but they look to be the Biz and look waaaay sexxy.

clinker I've wanted to audition the Eclipse for a while as I've recently bought one of their decks.
The Utopia would be difficult to fit in my application due to the large size of the motor assembly but it's definitely one of the best.

As everyone always says though, a lot will come down to box design and installation. I've heard many high-end subs sound aweful due to poor install (and also some "not-so-high-end" subs sound suprisingly good due to great install!)

lots of good suggestions offered. but i think a few will be over your limit (eg: xtant hex, velodyne, etc).
boston pro, dls magnesium, IDQ, or PG Ti would be on my shortlist to audition to see if they suit.
good luck
