currently in my 90 excel i have 4" PG 2way coaxils(from online store) in the factory dash locations.
facing up and back.
these are running off my pioneer DEH - P2050 4x45w cd player.
there are holes in my doors where the previous owner has had 5.25" speakers.
the treble from these speakers are good but there isnt much midbass from the 4".
i was thinking of buying the PG 5.25" coaxils from the webstore for $110 (ithink) for the doors.

these will be run off my avantguard 2x150w amp.
will this sound alright with the four speakers in the front.
i dont really want to spend much more money on my stereo thats why im not getting splits.

thanks

definitely not the best way of doing it, having 2 pairs of full range speakers at the front wont hep any front stage setup at all, especially seeing you have posted this in the SQ forum

Agreed, having 2 sets of coaxils for ur front stage setup would sound weird?? Any particular reason(s) for this?

Any upgrade in size would tend to provide you with more midbass, so 5.25" or even larger would be the way to go

Splits would of been much more ideal for a SQ setup.

I would keep a look out for a cheaper set of split in the for sale forum. And run them off the avantguarde.

by simply putting ur speakers in the doors u would get much better midbass reproduction in that the speaker would have an enclosure(the door) u would be better off getting some splits but whatever take ur fancy i spose... coax's in the door would go fine
