best tweeter out of the above bunch?
max cost of $400 per pair.
Also locations to buy the tweeter in Victoria - Melbourne?
(Focal and Boston and vifa seem to be pritty easy to get - a lot of stores sell them, where can i buy Dynaudio and Morel car audio gear from in Victoria?)

Old line, but it will be to taste. Sizzle or smooth?
I like my Morels, but there would be a good case to a different taste to any of the others, Dyn, Boston, Focal etc

what are the tweeters going to be matched with?
i think the most important factor is what is going to blend the best with your other components.

"17 May 2003: A limited number of Dynaudio D-260 Esotec tweeters are available at AUD$245- each including GST (Shipping extra)." (Soundlabs Group)
Also, if you have a penchant for the Vifa sound, I'd recommend having a look into the Scan/Speak range.
But, if you could let us know a bit more about your system and objectives, you'll probably get some more specific advice ... good luck!

thanks for the replies.
Sorry i didnt post much info, i setup the question mid week one morning b4 work and then have been buisy as since then so i have only just checked the topic again now.
Now the system is still very much under way and i am still very much deciding things as i go.
Currently im thinking about runing the front stage fully active, and the front stage most definatly being a 2 way setup. I have got some MOREL HCW6.5 drivers which will be mounted in the door's.
Thay will be going in the factory locations (factory was 5x7") so ill be making up a baffle to mount them on, doors will be 'sealed' with SD. I am thinking about mounting the tweet's right beside the mid. in the baffle.
This is really just something ill try and see how it sounds, if this doesnt sound right they will be mounted in the kicks.
Now i would LOVE some of the supremo's etc. but the problem is SIZE. Although there is nothing really hard about making them fit, i just will not make these sort of mod's to my gf's brand new car
I havent heard many car audio speakers over the past 3 or so years, and a lot seems to have changes in terms of a lot of new brands appearing etc... a lot more in the marketplace, and given the difficualties in auditioning 'upper market' productes these days i havent been able to hear any of the above, or find a retailer with any of the above in stock to evan see!
Going back about 4-5 years with the Ti Boston Pro Series tweeters, i used to love them, very bright sound which was something thing a lot of people didnt like about them but not me.
My music taste - if you can call it that is very broad, from Aerosmith to Jethro Tull, Dave Matthews Band to 2pac, NOFX to India Arie...
I am after a tweeter that can perform with a broad range of music.
Once again, if anyone knows where i can hear the Morel or Dynaudio gear that would be great, the same goes for every other brand listed too.
Thanks
Travis
