Hi Guys...
Just wondering if anyone has had the chance to audition the new Response 10" Metal Coated cone sub (is it even released yet?)... Cat No. CS-2366
My local Jaycar store doesn't have them in yet, and I was wondering about the SQ of these particular subs.
These subs have a massive cast aluminium basket which I'm sure would eliminate frame resonance, and also the huge magnet assembly is sure to help with overall balance and linearty - but just reading the specs is nothing compared to actually auditioning these speakers.
I'm quite interested in them... rather cheap price tag on trade for what should hopefully be a tight, energetic sub... but I can only hope.
So yeah, has anyone actually heard one of these yet (if they've been released that is.)
One thing I am worried about however is the metal coated cone - I know that these particular cones (such as the old Phillips/VDO Dayton X-bass subs) are nortorious for cone resonance and exhibit a certain 'tinny' sound.
Anyway, that's it from me - I have high hopes for this new, massive 10" from Jaycar!

Havent heard or seen one, but they are avaliable.
I think its a pity they didnt bring them out in a 12 ans 15 inch series as well!!
