Hi

I currently have a Pioneer 6450 headunit which i plan on keeping and a 12" MTX sub and an alpine MRP-M200 amplifier.

I have $2500 to spend and am looking for a fairly high quality stereo, well as high as i can get with this sort of cash. The MTX has never been installed and am willing to sell it for a more clearer sounding sub.

Pretty much i need an entire system for $2500 except for the headunit. Its going in my new car that i pick up this week, an E36 BMW 320i. I listen to mostly rap and R&B

What do people suggest?

i would go for a full alpine system.
sub: type r 12 dual 4 ohm coils ~ $399
sub amp: mrd-m500 ~ $799
front rear amp: mrv-f540 ~ $699
splits: spr-176a ~ $469
rear coax: spr-174a ~ $299.

comes to about $2500 but can get cheaper.

y does he needs new sub and amp? use that money to buy a much better front stage.

perhaps something like focal, dynaudio, morel or any of the more high end brands around teh $800 for 2-way splits.

also forget the idea of rear coax's - especially for 299!

front stage amps perhaps something along lines of audison, hertz, PG, soundstream around the $1000 mark. probably want atleast 2x100w RMS to feed to the front splits.
