Hi, this morning i saw a PHD Reference series on a demo board. I'm just wondering whether some of you have heard/used this brand. Are they any good for SQ? What is your opinions about them? Thank you

I gave the PHD splits a good audition on the sound board some time ago. They sounded good - I particularly liked the midrange they produced. I am yet to hear them in a car however so I can't comment from that angle.
I cant remember which ones the Reference Series were or how much they cost, but other speakers of "similar level" to listen to would be DLS, Dynaudio, etc etc.
Remember, (1) let your ears do the judging (2) try and listen to them in a car and (3) don't listen salesman dribble.

i picked up a set of them today and i couldnt be happier, the entry level PHD ones at Audioart ($550rrp apparently i got them for $400 cash) and they are soo smooth and just amazingly clear, i couldnt be happier
