I am in the middle of trying to decide on what to buy for my first system, starting from scratch. I prefer sound quality over loud, so posting in this sub-forum.

People in the SQ forum rave about the Audison LRx amp, but I aint hard much about the cheaper SRx.

I'm looking for a 4 channel amp that will power some splits and bridge to power a sub.

On a tight budget, is it worth spending the extra on an LRx rather than an SRx, especially me being new to car audio and stuff cause maybe I could spend the money on a better sub or splits?

Depending on the rest of your planned system I would reccomend the Srx3.

No need for bridging, as it comes prepared to handle a sub on the 3rd channel. I have a mate that has just installed a Srx3 running Pioneer bullet splits, and a Crossfire 12" P1. The car is clean and loud, and the amp is RRP $695.

Specs are at www.audison.com and well worth a look.

If you have fot the extra money, then the Lrx are great, and then it goes without saying how great the Vrx's are

the lrx series is nice. no doubt about it. but the srx is a sweet series too.

as a sweet, simple sq system, go some nice splits and a single, nice 10 or 12, and have a look at the srx3. its a gutsy 3 channel amp. will put out 2x75w and 1x250w intom 4ohm. will do 310w into a 2ohm load for the subbie.

imo, you won't find a better amp for the doh.

the lrx is a step-up again, but, like you said, spend the extra cash on your other components. you will not be disapointed with a srx3!

thats the way i'd do it!
