I have been told a couple of methods, but was wondering how other people do it. First is aiming the drivers up at the opposite side head rest. Second is aiming driver up and back a little at the rear view mirror. Any other ways i should test out?

make them flexible so you can angle them anywhere and they'll hold their position. Aim them everywhere you can think, chances are they'll sound best where you'd least expect it

it all depends on the installation, a common alignment is to have each driver aimed at or near the opposite headrest. in my own sytem, they are aimed about 30cm in-front of the opposite headrest, which works fine as good car speakers will have enough off-axis response to allow for being slightly off. besides, if speakers are aimed too steeply back they will be too loud for the person sitting next to them, which will pull the stage towards that corner - the exact opposite of what you are trying to acheive.

Thanks for the replies. It seemed that aiming towards the rear view mirror gave the best results, and at the headrests the left hand side was actually too prominate for my liking. Thanks
