I was after some suggestions as to what centre speakers to look at.
Kenwood, Clarion and Alpine have centre speakers in their ranges but none look promising for a good 5.1 system.
What would you nice people recommend for a centre speaker?
Cheers in advance, TIDY.

In 5.1 the centre dioes 70% + of the work and so should be close to full range and timbre matched to the other fronts.
One of the problems with 5.1 in the car is that even if you can get the same speaker in your dash as your doors, it wont have same volume (box) as a door mounted and so wont perform to same level. Also as its very high and door speakers are very low it tends to get the upside down smile effect where we hear the stage go up and down as a sound travels accross the stage.
I wont get in surround channels being behind you or some of the other issues, but thew best bet is to try and use the same as you use for you fronts(l & R) and try to get it at same height if possible.
