Sorry, I've already posted this in the beginners section cause I wasn't sure what the most appropriate place was.

Hey everyone, new to this forum and car audio, anyway heres the question:

I'm currently purchasing everything for my first system, it's going into an Alfa 164. So far I've got a Sony CDX-M630 head unit, the one with the black face and 3 RCA outs. Front speakers are 6.5in splits and rears are smaller 2-ways. My amp is the Kicker IX405D. The sub(s) will run off the sub channel which is producing around 300W RMS at 2-ohms.

I listen to all types of music and am much, much more intersted in sound quality than outright SPL. I want a really tight punchy bass setup. space isn't a problem. Should I go for one 12in like the JL Audio 12 W3 V2, 4-ohm dual voice coil and connect it in parallel to get a 2-ohm load. Or should I go for 2 10in's. Something like the JL Audio 10 WO as it doesn't need nearly as much power as the W3's. I was going to go with a sealed box. Any suggestions with any types of subs would be greatly appreciated.

Also, with 2 subs, do you need double the power (sorry, obvious question). And should they go in the same box, or seperate.
