i've not auditioned the JL's, so cannot comment. but the focal's are nice (i haven't auditioned the latest version though).
edit: my bad, i thought you were speaking about the K2 focal's. the polyglass V series are also nice though. but i haven't auditioned the series 2 either.

dunno how much its retail though

Only running em off a small soundstream rubicon 202 but they take all the power easily and seem to keep up with the overwhelming bass from the strokers down back.
I listen to all types of music from rock, techno, trance, R&B, and alternative and my ears love the sound from all areas...
The key is to go audition as many different types of splits as u can, so u know exactly what u have to choose from, so u can actually make a choice on what you like.
