Hey there

Just wondering if anyone could tell me if there is any difference between the dynaudio GT's and the system 240 MK11's in terms of sound.

I have been told the GT driver has better midbass. Not sure if this is true however as i have only heard the Mk11's 7" midbass speaker.

Thanks :D
Adrian

i thought the GT had slightly stiffer suspension making it slightly more suited to the relatively large enclosure offered by a door.

i believe that makes its incar performance slightly more punchy and tighter in its sound.

i've not auditioned them side by side to comment. it would also vary from car to car (door to door).

i run the regular MW160 woofer and really enjoy it.

you probably need to hear from CAA Member 'Hutch', the distributor. and discuss it with your retailer.

I just pulled GT's out of my doors and replaced them with MKII's. The difference was slight but I felt that the GT's probably did have a slightly meatier midbass, having said that, neither is lacking in that department, but the GT's do have a small edge in higher power applications.

The GT's mid performs better than the MKii...
