currently, my dyns240GT are installed with the mid not angled at all, and the tweeter in stock positions.

i'm considering putting just the tweeter in the kickpanels which should be an improvement, but should i also endevour to angle the mid? does it make a huge difference?

it's very tight to angle the mid behind the stock location (prelude 98model) so might be hard to do so..

thanks
chris

IMO, any degree of angling (roughly towards the opposite seat headrest) will be better than none. it can also avoid cancellation issues that can occur if the fire directly towrards each other.

i too had trouble creating a 'good' angle, so settled for around 15 degrees or so. hmm, i'm happy with it. can't say i was able to compare the same woofer without the angle, so can't say i have a definite improvement. in theory, should be! :D

many reputed designers believe that accurate midrange response is more important for correct imaging than top end response. Following this reasoning, i'd suggest you try to angle the mid as much as you can... obviously it's hard when using stock locations. I had trouble achieving accurate imaging with my dyns in the stock locations, so I now have them in custom FG pods.
