will sound deadening help at all? the rear quarter panels and the boot shake pretty badly on certain frequencies of a song. i still can't comprehend how SD would help? even though it sticks onto the car wouldnt the panels still vibrate thus causing noise? if i do apply SD to the entire boot and quarter panels would it eliminate all noise vibrations coming from the areas SDened?please help (its pissing me off because i have to turn the volume down sometimes to save myself looking like an idiot-especially when the panels make more decibels than the sub!

Yes it will deffenitly help. The concept of sound deading is to add weight to the panel its applied to, and thus lowering its resonate frequency so it doesnt vibrate/rattle. Do it it will help a lot.

In the past my car use to do that as well (think we've all had that prblem). it is VERY embarassing when ur car drives past people and all they hear is rattling panels.

i've done by boot on the quarter panels and a bit on the bootlid. it has stopped ALL vibrations (except my number plate). even my spoiler doesn't shake anymore.
Stood outside my car with it turned way up and it's great.

In the boot it's G-Spot Serenity sound deadening.
I had Marty at FHRX studios do it for me, and it works a charm.

For those who are on a budget, Flashtac works really well too.
I have flashtac all through my doors, and it worked a treat.

Blackrain, we must sort out that number plate champ. :)

For those who are interested, G-Spot Serenity Max is basically equivalent to Stinger Road Kill or Dynamat... ;)

it definately helps! i used to have a lancer. the car has loud road noise. i deadened the entire floor and it was as quite as a camry. the rear quarter (rear tire well) and the tunnel r nosey in most cars. for the rear quarter, try to seal (i mean air tight the gaps) the chasis and the panels with some wealther strips or sealer. it is an efficient way to keep quite without adding too much wait. for tunnel, use mat. deaden/seal the doors will instantly improve ur midbass without upgrading ur equipments.

For my hatch i sound deadened the rear bumper (tar paint) and the underside of the fuel tank (under seat) and tire well (boot). I also flashtacced the boot, with felt ontop for aesthetics. Then i have a 18mm mdf floor which is dampened with closed cell foam.
This really isnt enough, but its better than it was with the striaght through 2" sports exhaust.
I now have a 2 1/4" sports exhaust with a triple x flow muffler on the end. A fair bit quieter.

I actually have sound deadening on the exhaust tunnel of the S15 (where the exhaust runs). You can also apply thermal wrapping to the pipes themselves. :)

Then there is deadening the entire floor of course. ;)

blackrain, put a heap of SD on the number plate, worked a treat for me.

best way to make that zorst quiet is to get another muffler fitted :D
or do what i did, get used to the noise hahaha
it's kinda anoying that i can hear it over the stereo playing at 130+db
QUOTE (RMA @ Feb 6 2010, 01:22 AM) My only regrets are:
Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

The easiest way to deaden a numberplate is to put perspex or mdf along the back of it to strengthen it (i already have a perspex plate) and then some foam to dampen it.
