- Genesis Profile 4 (4x50rms or 2x140 bridged) for ~$500
- Audison SRx3 (2x65rms & 170rms) - rrp$697, or specials from fhrx for around $600
- Audison LRx 4.300 (4x65rms or 2x210rms bridged), rrp $875 but don't know what's the "real" price

I'm just wondering how do these amps compare in terms of SQ? Or are the any other options at the similar price range?

I'm using it in my next car for a pair of splits (~$500, probably spx177a, focal or diamond M6) and a ~$300 (including box) sub (I'm not a big fan of bass). What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance for all the ideas and comments :D

Make sure you always check with me on our prices because our silly specials change every couple of days. ;)

When talking SQ amplifiers, others to check out are:

ARC
Zapco
Tru-Tech

oohps sorry mate I'll check the exact prices with you when I've actually got my next car (which is still a number of weeks away) :hehe:

I'm interested in how these three amps compare and also if there are any other alternatives in these price range, and ideas guys?

why is that? Are they are really poor in SQ? I thought I've heard some really good comments for them in here :|

It's a never ending debate dude. It's also a personal choice.

If you have a look at the various figures of the SRx range from Audison, they're difficult to beat for their relatively cheap price . :)

So you guys mean it's the "Profile" model right? the one with the black plate on top of the metal body (cos' this is the one I can afford  ), not the gold plated one which earned about a million awards...

i was never impressed with my Lrx....
but thats a long story!
QUOTE (RMA @ Feb 6 2010, 01:22 AM) My only regrets are:
Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

I was having browse at the Genesis website and read about a "dual momo" amp. Can someone explain if this is any different to a 2 channel amp?

Thanks

i think Cyberpunky sums it up fairly well about 1/3 of the way down (in regards to the Alpine dual mono amp).

Can anyone really tell the difference?

I'm refering to the test that Richard Clarke offers anyone who can distinguish between amps.

From memory no one has beaten the test yet.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong and someone has been able to tell the difference in his test.
