Hi Everyone.

I have just purchased a new car and am very keen to design a new sound system for it.

The last one consisted of some very good components and some very good design, it is just this time I do want to go bigger and better.

There are only some minimal restrictions to this.

* $8000.00 budget for equipment
* $2500.00 budget for install
* Easy to remove and return to standard
* Incorporation of a set of ///Alpine SPX-177A & ///Alpine MRV-T420

Otherwise the sky is the limit, if it means using some second hand components to get desired results so be it. These are some of the components I was thinking of using. I will most probably use the Alpine gear for rear fill.

Head Unit:
///Alpine IVA-D300E AV unit

Front Stage:
Boston Z6’s, Focal 165 K2P?

Otherwise I am very much open for options on what to use and whom to go through in Brisbane for installation and purchase of equipment.

Regards,
Matt

Z6 front stage IMO awsome set of speakers.

Good head unit, but remember it is touch screen so yellow here we go (the screen I mean) but not for some time (from your finger tips unless your a doctor and wear gloves).

Q: How do you know if you're too drunk to drive? A: You swerve to miss a tree then realise it's the air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror.

Yeah I know it is terrible :oops:

I love the Alpine source unit because it features everything I want and I mean it is nice to have it all in one.

The Z6's look like they may get the nod for the front stage but what to power them?

I am looking to improve on how clean it can be whilst going as loud if not louder. I want ear piecing highs & still kidney rattling lows but overall I want it to sound like it was meant to be that way.

So overall I am looking for probably a SPQ system.

The new car is a 2004 Ford Fiesta Zetec.

Thanks,
Matt

Where abouts are you planning to mount an aftermarket head unit in the car?

Thanks,
