i can get from the USA DIAMOND AUDIO S500a shiped for $504 AUD or i can get 2nd hand FOCAL 165EX 3 way 6.5" where sold in 1999 and where installed for 3.5 years, used for 2.5 years for $400 AUD.

which speaker is the best priced ?

Have seen the focals you are talking about, on eBay? They are a sweet soudning speaker, but i cant guarentee the quality, as they are old, $400 is a reasonable amount to pay for a speaker that cost $1500 5yrs ago... I would go the focals, just have to be sure they wont disintergrate on you anytime soon :wink:

i have not made my mind up - but i have the follow options ( i cant demo the speakers )

1. s500a
2. hsk165
3. hsk163
4. Boston ProSeries 5.5

i like to play trance muisc but also enjoy rock - classical music
