hey guys time has come for me to sell my baby and along with her goes all my goodies. My previous front stage were a set of boston fs165's wich were running 200wrms (each) or so from a alpine v12 amp. The bostons sounded fantastic and well i really only want somthing that is going to do equal or better job then them. any sugestions????? looking for things like BA, focal, MB quart etc....

ps: i can get jl, kicker and cadance cheap so if there is anything that is worth a mention feel free but i am aware that they wont do the trick.

go the BA pro's if you like the sound
QUOTE (RMA @ Feb 6 2010, 01:22 AM) My only regrets are:
Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

Dynaudio System 220 splits could be had for around this sort of price.

If you are really lucky you might be able to get a pair of System 240 splits for about $700.

But you would really have to get the salesman on a good day! LOL

Hey I know it's off topic but what was the model of the amp you were using? I was looking for ages for an Alpine amp that would give splits some decent power...( I don't need it anymore..but this would put my mind at ease..)

I'm sure some of the MB Quart stuff could fill in if u look at the Premium line. They're about $600ish from memory and very comparable to Boston Pro's.

I heard some of them $600 or so MB Quart, not bad for the money, the Bostons have come down a bit lately though so i'd go for them on that reason alone, both are good at the end of the day :)

Bostons sound pretty sweet. Also like dyns. Can't complain about my infinitys 1 bit but they are more than $700. Take a couple of your favourite cds that you know well and go out and listen to as many different speakers as you can, at least then you know what YOU like.

My friend bought some Rally's. I liked the sound so much I bought a set of Pro's more or less sight -unseen.

My friend cried.

If you like the Rally's, don't bother looking anywhere else but the Pro's.

I think I'm a little over supreme setups :(

6 months with a new car, and I've got an amp and a set of front speakers.

Or I could just be lazy.
