Dash = Tweeter (Dynaudio MD100)(Audison 2x40rms)
Mids = Kickpanel (Dynaudio MD140) (Audison 2x130rms)
Midbass = Doors (Dynaudio MW160) (Audison 2x130rms)
Or would you also put the tweeter in the kicks? The thing why i want to put the tweeters up in the dash is because the soundfield tends to be much better = the sound opens up in front of you. If its in the kicks, the sound doesnt appear to fly away in front of you, specially if your legs or some bags are blocking the speakers.
My planned system setup:

my other components are:
HU = either the Alpine IVA-D900 or the Pioneer AVH-P7550DVD (depending which would give me a better SQ)
Audiocontrol DQS ( 30 band 1/3 oct. digital equalizer)
Audiocontrol DXS (3 way crossover)
JL500.1 = amp for subs
JL12w6v2 = subs (sealed)

i'd have the lot in the kicks, but thats just me. i feel its still the best place for splits in most cars.

At decent sound levels (greater HF energy) you will get a surprisingly high stage.
If the stage height suffers at the sides, then try some ambient tweeters in the A-pillars or similar (inside door mirrors for eg) with a high-pass in the 10kHz region.
Usually "squares-up" the sound stage quite well.

Anyway, I did some "test aiming" with a DIY temp box to hold the mid and tweeter. Best place I found, in my car and my liking, is at the base of the A-pillar. Firing across about the same contour of the windscreen, so its not direct line of sight. Sound stage is bloody high! hehe and the clarity boosted. The only bad thing I noticed, felt was the cut off behind the box. i.e it doesn't give have a wide stage as were in the kick. So what to compromise?
I tried putting mid at kick and tweeter at A-pillar. Stage high was ok but seperation was very obvious. So that's a no go for me.
I am definitely going to try the dash/a-pillar placement soon.
Maybe you would like to respond to my post here
Thanks,
Ray
