Hi

Im going to buy a new component set soon.

Im looking for somthing in the pricerange of 500$.
I can get RF FNQ3146 for 480$ witch is kind of cheap here i thing (Norway), seen it for up to 1250$.
I can also get Soundstream Van Gogh for 482$ and a RF X162S for about 500$.

After what i've read, non of these are "real" good for SQ. Im kind of not able to hear any of them play before i buy, since the only place that sells car audio within driving distance only sells sony, boss and boshmann.

It might be easyer to install a 3-way set so i could fit tweeter + midrange in kick and midbass in door. i dont think im able to fit anything larger than 4" in my kickpanels. Its a small car, VW Golf mk2.

I only got a Sony Xplod sub atm but im going to change this when i get more money. The amp im using is a RF 801X (100W RMS x 4 @ 4 ohm)

It would be real nice if someone could help me pick out some quality components.

Dynaudio - there's a guy on ebay from singapore that ships Dynaudio internationally - well worth checking out.

My only other recomendation would be Arvus speaker from www.worldsbestspeakers.com

Have a look at some of the Rainbows - http://www.rainbow-car-audio.de and they make some real nice speakers that are "drop-in" replacements for your car.

Rainbows are well worth the money, if you can stretch your budget, then go for it.

Otherwise have you checked out Focal?
I think there is even a set of Morel speakers that are in yor budget. Hertz make some 3 ways that will fit into your budget.

Mind you, are we talking AUD here? cos that is what I am talking about.

Sup sup,

Not that I know the guy or anything, but there is some dude who has been trying to sell his 3-way rainbow system on the "for sale" forum for about a month now.
Do a search, or it might even have been bumped again recently. I think he was asking $450 last time I bothered to check.

you live in norway?! :D

as such, it's difficult to recommend stuff without knowing the availability over there (incl cost of freight), and cost of the splits themselves, allowing for various import duties and tax.

so what may be AUS$500, may end up as $300 over your way, or maybe $900. :?

but if prices are comparable and available, i'd suggest stuff like:
*boston acoustic rally series RC620
*hertz HSK165
*diamond audio CM3 series

Stupid me was talking about USD, so well, i got about 800 AUD. I will probably end up buying from USA since its a lot cheaper there.

I got an offer on some Boston Proseries 6,5" for 580$ (AUD) from USA

DLS is availible (in norway), the price for UP-6 is 739$ (AUD) and for UP-36 1059$ (AUD)

aaah, ok. 8)

well, depending on 'currency exchange' and freight, etc, you could consider stuff like:

*dynaudio system240
*boston pro
*diamond audio Hex series
*alpine SPX-177A
*focal polykevlar and utopia
*morel, pheonix gold

all these are top 2-way systems worth auditioning.

:)

well norway aint a "cheap" country, so I would have to pay 1540$ (AUD) for the reference series. I cant even afford the performance set, it costs 880$.
