hi all i have a VT and i'm wondering what sub to get i was looking at a 12" type R which i can get for about $350. i went into GCR and they said they can give me a 10" ZR or something he said it was like the old type r's for 200. is it worth the extra $150 for the 12" or will the 10" do fine.
i'm new so please tell me if i have forgoten anything.
thanks

EDIT: just found out that it's an alpine ZR. can anyone give me a price on one of these is $200 to much?

I'd go the 12 simply because a VT cabins so large. Unless you wanted to use money saved on a powerful monoblock to really feed the 10" ZR some juice. Depends what sort of bass you're after. The 10 will definately be faster tighter and punchier but wont extend as low.

I agree with agent_felix, the Alpine Type R subwoofers are one of the most underrated subs around...
Great build quality, Excellent SQ and very good SPL (in the right enclosue of course) all for about $400 or so

Don't argue with an idiot...they will bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

Yeah I've got a 12" Type-R running off a MRD-M501 in my boot (VS Commodore) and it goes great. Definately spend the cash I reckon
