My friend is going overseas (canada) in a few days and she's going to bring me back a set of speakers. now i haven't decided which splits to get yet... but so far i'm tossing up from the following few:

AVI (not sure on which model yey)
Diamond audio hex 600s
Boston pro's 6.5
phoenix gold ti elite 6.5
are there any other speakers i should consider.

please have a read a few posts down for some more info on my needs.

i was talking to a German manafacture, he was saying no one over there uses Dyn. everyone use's Rainbow mainly then Seas and his speaker...
QUOTE (RMA @ Feb 6 2010, 01:22 AM) My only regrets are:
Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

Check out the Adire Audio Extremis midrange, from all accounts it takes the Seas Lotus (its main competitor) and, at 1/2 the price, gives it a jolly good rogering :D 13mm one way linear XMax (more than most subs!) with XBL^2 tech, inductance of only 0.13mH means the usable upper limit is almost 8kHz :?

My dream component set for under $2k and not using Arvus, would be a pair of Adire Audio Extremis as midbass, Image Dynamic CD2-COMP horn mids, and a pair of Morel Supremo's as ambient tweeters :)

My thoughts - go the dynaudio route if you can get em cheap. If you go for the HEX speakers I would avoid the metal dome tweets (personally I thought they were very average).

Note: BR - shhhhh about the Arvus speakers - they're our little secret.

make the only tweeter that I have heard that would trouse the morel.

They even give my Morel Supremo's a run for the money (read - I can't tell the difference have a preference) and they (arvus tweeters) are 1/4 the size and 1/4 the price.

ok guys its been a while since i posted this but my freind is over in canada and i have to decide what speakers to get asap.

i've pretty much narrowed it down to 2 speakers:

1. Diamond Audio Hex s600s 6.5"
2. Pheonix Gold Ti Elite 6.5"

both are the same price (within $10), the speakers will be run off a USamps USA200 giving it 100rms per side.

what are your thoughts?

I'm asking the same question as we speak. Upgrading from some Older Pioneer splits and looking for some new beasts. Mostly listen to metal/heavy metal, but also some rap. Definitely hate the bright tweets, and would rather go muffled rather then bright again.

Where can I buy The s600s? Got Quoted $854 from FhrxStudios. Any other places?

Any also looking for some maybe a little cheaper ($600AUD)

goto metrosound, and get hutch to demo some AVI splits!!

I dont know what budget ur lookin @ (im a noob with all this and i dont know the prices of the PG's or Diamonds) but there was a review conducted a few yrs back and AVI EL160 splits kicked ass (supposedly, i havent yet read it)..
I'd reccomend you listen to the EL and LX range which are both very very nice (yet rather pricey :()... Just have a listen to make sure there are no regrets with ur purchase...

I just got a pair of EL130 splits and they sound fantastic!!! i love dem

Dude, man..... where in Canada is she... I can probably get her hooked up for you since she's on my turf and I own a couple of shops.
