Selling Fudd an amp (for a fraction of the real price) that had been returned by Autobarn Geelong which had been incorrectly used by AB Geelong and turned out to be faulty when Fudd started using it.
Whilst he was given a new amp after it could not be fixed, he never acknowledged any of the assistance given and bitches to this day about it.

Agree-ish with stick.

Hi-power amps may always be TH & SMT combinations. TH will only continue to be used while the characteristics of large TH components cannot be replicated / replace by SMT components. I'm taking of parts such as High Voltage & Capacitance Caps, large hand wound inductors and components that require large amounts of heat dissipation / High current capabilities. However the SMT/TH ratio will continue to increase in time, as SMT parts are cheaper, more readily available and cheaper to place in volume.

While i wouldnt buy MTX, all other things being equal, I'd rather buy military spec than "made-in-a-sweat-shop-in-china/korea/taiwan/indonesia/malaysia/etc." spec.

I have done a bit of reading on tru here, if the production/parts/etc. that tru-tech uses are so expensive, how come the other brand's amps cost the same as the trus ?

And i take it we are not fans of tru here?

i think everyone here has respect for tru and i don't think you'll find many negative comments on these amps.... just that they're pretty thin on the ground in aus at the moment. they don't nearly have the same coverage as other competitors like audison or zapco etc... hopefully this will change. i'm still hanging out to hear some tru amps!

straight six. no question. :hehe: :hehe: :hehe: take one look at a bmw 3.2L inline 6 (s54) and disagree with me!!! :) go on i dare you! hehe

Because other brands have found that paying $500 for an amp, slapping your well known brandname on it, and selling it for $2500, is a remarkably quick way to make money :P
