Im trying to gain a better understanding of audio and one question that has stumped me is the aproximate range that each driver should play?
Should the crossover points of each driver slightly overlap each other or should they be set so that each point picks up after the other?
In my current set-up i have the Boston Pro 6.5 splits controlled by an EQL and a kicker L7 12" which does not play low enough, although it is tuned to approx 30 hertz from memory.
Thanks...
what should cover what freq's

Well good question but my answer is to play around a bit. their is no rules weather you should overlap your Xover or not. In general speaking. overlaping will make certain fequency louder. Then if it is the sub to the split then it might that the overlaping fequency might be the similar one to your car resonence fequency hence if that the case, it will have a bit problem blending in with your splits.. So play around if you can. trust your ears... It doesn't matter what other say as long as it sound good and you are happy with the system

agree completely with Golf there
depends on YOUR car environment and components
many ppl overlap their frequenceis
many underlap their freqqunceies and leave a gap
depends on what sounds goot to you and wat measures for ur car
sosrri mate im drunk a bit
