mine's the same as winno's - my hxd-2 doesn't remember anything when you cut main power (you'd think for all that money -$2200 rrp- you'd get a better memory)
luckily I go "old school" and record my eq and time alignment settings on paper as well - I'm still running passive so it only takes about 5 minutes

Well I called Eclipse Au today and everythings been sorted. Apparently you need to create a specific directory structure on the memory stick before the eiServ website can recognise it.

Settings have now been saved and yeah as maccab36 pointed out - it didnt take that long to get everything back to normal. 1/2 an hour perhaps? :)

Yeah i took out battery to start a friends car, put it back in, and I lost EQ, TA, active Xover points n slopes, muting, phase, time, radio stations, listening position, and a million other little settings that i'd done over a few weeks of having headunit. Pioneer DEXP1R, something was mentioned about 24 hour memory, obviously not on this one

ikerr, Eclipse just called me in relation to this thread. (they don't have an account to post). They fully understand what you are talking about and the problem you have experienced with saving your settings. Whilst I am not familiar with this model I cannot explain it to you in full, but its something to do with having to format the memory stick / or create directories before trying to transfer.

In any case, they asked that you please call the Eclipse hotline tomorrow (wednesday) during business hours and they will be happy to explain the process. The hotline is 1800 211 411

is it just me or are other people also astounded at the awesome level of customer service displayed by the Eclipse Aust mob?

That is what I like about my ES gear.

I had the head unit out of the car for 4 weeks whilest it was at the smash repairer, when I put it back in all of my presets were still there, it even kept the programmed station names in there!

My XDP4000X had been disconnected for over 2 months and it still kept all of its settings. Even when I bought the thing, the guy that sold it to me said that it had not been connected for about 9 months, when I first plugged it in, it still had all of the other guys settings in it.

And this is old school gear!

Yes l can definitly confirm that a total power out will not loose DEQ settings. I had 0 volts YES, 0, from my optima for 6 months . When l got a new on they were all still the same. Plus when i had my BMW serviced the manager wanted to know what i did with my car b/c it was registering that i had over 50 disconections/flat batteries.
