not too sure about that one....as i have never run active before (maybe off the hu?)

as bobby said..it would be a damn waste of money if i didn't use my xovers!!!

yeah ive got pretty decent crossovers with my type x's too.
They also let you bi amp them if you wish

There are plenty of amps that have crossovers with sufficient adjustability for active setups. I use an Alpine MRV-F540 for active front stage, continuously adjustable HP/LP/BP crossover up to 8KHz

Yeah i use the headunits active, its set stages, gives enough to set it. Xover frequency isn't something usually tweaked right down, for tweeter/mid getting within 200-500 hz is enough i reckon.
