It was good while it lasted. My taste of SQ continues to be strong, but I've now stripped the car to make a new one :)

Going more show than sq this time, but it will still rival my last sound for SQ, but look good too :)

More info soon :P

Meh nothing. LOL

I guess you're used to hearing it. But... as always... I wasn't happy....

Time for a custom dash designed to suit audio, not a dash designed to suit the car..

Good things take time.

The thing I find most is that for me the fun is the piecing of the entire system together, and trying new things. Once its finished or close to finished I lose a bit of interest...

Must be something in the air.

Pulled out all my gear in the boot last friday night. Very sad sight.

The car will be going to FHRX to have all the cabling and speakers pulled out and the stock system put back in.

SAD VERY VERY SAD.

Car audio is a drug..

Once you start you cannot stop.

Marc: i think you'd be more successful if you tried working with the system you've got instead of stripping and starting from scratch everytime. work on an aspect you're unhappy with, then another ... until you're satisfied.

John, you did what???

I don't think you understand Ben. I enjoy starting from scratch. The fun in car audio for me is playing with different gear.

yeah, but as you say "Good things take time."
you've never had a system installed long enough for you to fine tune it, you can't expect it to be "plug n play"...

Assume nothing :P
Don't worry, only the required products are being replaced/upgraded this time.
I "am" addressing the areas which needed addressing.

Oh and BTW, for the record I had two systems installed in the Lancer that would have done very well in [CAASQ] 2004 that were installed for a long time. Tube Drivers, Morel 3 Way with Supremos, then VRx's with Morel 3 ways etc.

I had a lot of systems before you started getting serious about SQ Ben.

sounds good.

yes i remmeber those systems but they were hardly installed for a long period of time.

me getting serious about SQ? You installed those systems since i've joined CAA... (the tube drivers were already installed when i joined)
i was serious about SQ before i joined CAA, just never had the time or money to do anything about it.

i don't think any of those systems lasted longer than 12months, and since you've had the bimmer, it feels like the car barely makes it out of the shop before you rip it to bits again! :(

i'm not having a go at ya, just seems a waste to me for you to install all that stuff, and re-do it before you iron out many bugs.
