Anyone interested in a SPL comp in Launceston ???
Loudest car on the day wins $100 cash.
No classes, just who has the loudest.

And breathe easy, I wont be competing.

post up here to show an interest.

man with only one 12 and an average of 132.3 hell no!!! But would be keen to come and have a look. Classes would be better but with the LOUDEST car still winning the $100. Just an idea

i agree with coptza...cant see you getting many entries if there are no classes and its just the loudest car wins...

Welllllll, its not real hard is it.
The way things are ya just need a reasonable audio system and you have a pretty good chance to win a hundred bucks.
A waste of time ****in around with classes if theres only a few entries.

Come on guys, all we need is about half a dozen entries and it will go ahead.

how do you figure its not real hard?? you talking about having guys who are just starting out competing against guys that have been around for ages...

really i can think of a number of car already that are guaranteed to take out the $100...

may as well burn your $10...

maybe $50 and $50 prizes or $25, $25, $25 and $25 prizes for a few classes, even if there is only 2 entries per class you have a 50% chance of dubling your money :D its gambling with decibels :D I think this could sweep across the world :D

With stupid comments like platinums, its no wonder Tassie doesnt have many events.

and, SKYVIA....."i am not sure but i believe a meter would be required" duhhh you think.

Was going to use a termlab.
But hey lets just forget it.

bye

your a dick head blue dog... i've competed in a number of events across the state...

heres a scenario (since you dont seem to be able to uderstand what i'm talking about)... lets say i've got a system... we'll take my old one fore example... Alpine T707 running 2 HE rockford subs... wired in parallel so they are actually running the amp at 2OHM load... not safe i know but it worked... max this system ever pulled out was 140.1dB... now this is a realatively small system... why would i compete against someone like yourself??? i know you said you arent competing but you arent the only person out there with a big system... so personally i can find better things to spend my $10 on and i'm sure a lot of other people do to...

and hate to say it but its wankers like you that turn people off the car audio scene...

It's fun to be a martyr isn't it :)
And to piss people off at the same time- SKYVIA was saying he wasn't sure if you were using CAI's meter, but if you were, he was raising the question about how accurate that meter was.
But hey, it's also fun to take things out of context, isn't it :)

An apology is definitely in order.

Termlab, undisputily best Meter in the world, maybe that should of been put in the orginal post. Have you considered having the $10 entry as a donation to CAA, to assist in the launch for CAASQ, then the entry isn't a waste as it is helping get CAATAS up and going!! I'm sure who ever rents out the RTA would be happy to use it for CAATAS or a small levy can be made out to the owner??

Platnium boyz, you keen to enter and your entry will be a donation for CAATAS for events and competitions???

stop keeping it real and just keep it relavent!!

yeh well i would but obviously someone's got gripes against us or several ppl

for anyones information i was enquiring who's meter would be used and if it was CAI's i was intrested to know if it was going to be calibrated first (its been having issues as of late).

who's is the termlab meter? i wanna get events going, but with anyones attitude at the moment its not going to happen.

Bluedog should realise im not trying to have a go, i WANT to help out and was just curious... im still a noob in this SPL game!
