Termlab, undisputily best Meter in the world, maybe that should of been put in the orginal post.  Have you considered having the $10 entry as a donation to CAA, to assist in the launch for CAASQ, then the entry isn't a waste as it is helping get CAATAS up and going!!  I'm sure who ever rents out the RTA would be happy to use it for CAATAS or a small levy can be made out to the owner??

Platnium boyz, you keen to enter and your entry will be a donation for CAATAS for events and competitions???

stop keeping it real and just keep it relavent!!

Damon
i do belive you once bagged TASASCA about using an RTA/SPL meter that had never been calibrated. i thought i might bring it to your attention that TASASCA is the only organization in Tasmania that owns a TERM LAB system !!! the system has been used in our last 2 comps.

TASASCA would be more than happy to hire the meter WITH an operator to CAA for a fee but this would be a waste of time as CAASQ does not include RTA in the judging process, but an SPL comp would be no problem !!!

Geeze you guys must get your info 5th hand.......

ummm I bagged the Audiocontrol meter from 2 years ago..... As HRC had the same meter and was 6-8 dB out like yours was. I have not attended the last two comps so I would have no idea what meter you are using, if your using TermLab then your reading would be very accurate unlike the old Audiocontrol one used in previous years!!

When official CAASQ SPL events are held, a Termpro 170dB mic will be used for SPL and will be accuratly calibrated.....

So whats tho GO, is there an event or not?

good work good to see that CAASQ is hitting off in june. That'll be sweet, we need some sounds offs during winter to keep us guys occupide. Winter is normally a dull time in tassie with no car shows or sound offs. If we had more events through out the year i am sure this would encourage more people to attend.

Let us know alittle bit before hand so we can put out the information about the event so we can get heaps of people interested.

There is a Drift Competition on mid way through June being held by Full Lock Motorsport, but it was very short notice to organise an event, and with discussions with Trav Dunstan we're trying to get something together under the CAA Banner. Will keep you posted.
