I have had a think about my new install, and I was wondering if dropping back from a Dyn semi active 3 way to a 2 way system with a good quality tweet (Dyn or Morel) is worth while. Will I have as potentially good or better system? Is the cost worth the effort. Main point is I don't really have enough room for kicks this time. I think I can get as good or better results with the 2 ways.
Any thoughs much appreciated.

Cheers

2-ways can sound great. so if space is an issue, consider it, especially as a poorly installed 3-way may sound worse, particularly with imaging.

The nice thing about using the dyn 3 ways is they dont need an enclosure for mid, so they can be easily (well sorta) in most kicks. you don't need to worry about having enough space for enclosure as you would with most other spkrs

in terms of my experience the 2 ways are great. but like the others said get em installed properly (whichever ones u get) -- staging will improve 100%

I have previously installed them in another vehicle, and I liked them alot. Just that they do take up a decent amout of space, and I want that space back if I could. Really is it worth the effort changing to the two ways? Will I get as good results? or is it not worth the effort? Considering also I would have to sell the top end and buy new.

Thanks for the replies

Do the dyns give good off-axis performance? Any experience on that?
