what sorta level do you want to pitch your amps? considering that the splits are top line. and would you plan more than 1 amp in the total system, matching (series/cosmetics) or not worrying?

i've not used those or seen them, but they look good on paper. maybe inline with audison SRx, alpine V12, kinda thing?

many people will suggest that the amp doesn't make big differences, and i'd agree with that. but if you're fussy, and want as good as you can get for sensible money, you can probably do better.

personally, i'd justify spending $600~1000 on just a 2-channel amp for those splits.

This is something I would consider but perhaps a bit further down the track when I can get something I really want that would outlast the install and even the car as the Focals I'm sure will.

This would be the test/first install type stage then on to a more sophisticated amp/sub setup later maybe even comp worthy, who knows?

$499 a good price for something like this?

to me, it's false economy to compromise 'now' and go for something 'that will do' if you later want to build a great system. i think it's better to determine what you REALLY want and aim for that.

or else consider secondhand. i notice a tru tech 4.65 for sale and if you spend a few hundred more you could have an awesome 4-channel amp to expand from.

x 2 - PM Ultim8DTM5 about his Tru-Tech. Can't think of a better amp for the money atm

I think I'm a little over supreme setups :(

6 months with a new car, and I've got an amp and a set of front speakers.

Or I could just be lazy.

also PM 'highimpact' who deals with SS if you're after an opinion on the XTA amps, and what else in the SS range may suit the focal's better for your budget.
