Hey guys,



Currently runnign at JVC avx1 was an awesoem unit starting to die and its time for some more processing power.



What are my options? Id love something that does everything the JVC does but i want something more like alpine PXA-H701 processor.


Was thinking PXA-H701 processor with IVA-D310e.

Only thing holding me back is the fact the foldout will block AC controls, and i only have single din space.


Thoughts?

Put the windows down

can i ask why a 310 and not a d100e or 105 because the 310 has the "brain" plus if you use ipod that another box so you have to find room for them where as with the others no "brain" and they have full speed ipod...

Lookign at alpine website either i am blind or can find mention of "brain" but the 105 looks the goods, might run an ipod but currently have a iriver so full speed ipod doesnt mean much to me atm.



The problem with the 9861e is no screen i spend alot of time parked in my car dvds are common place now

You know I've got the processor available mate! Pity your car can't take a double DIN unit

Get an external screen and mount it elsewhere. I can't see another easy way around it with only a single din.

D310E FTW. With Surefire's H701.

Dont worry about A/C controls man, you dont fiddle with them once they are on. And, the 310E has a 'flat' button, so it just folds down the screen for like 5 seconds so you can make adjustments.

well i have a processor cd changer and bluetooth waiting thanks surefire will get a 105 soon i thinks

how about a w202 and a h701 processor

or a 9887 with dvd stacker and external screen
what be better and more cost effective

There's nowhere for him to mount a W202 in the Civic, otherwise he would have taken mine.

Correct, the 105 does not have an external box, 5.1 on board. And if your iRiver runs through USB that requires an optional USB adaptor. When running DVD it unlocks basic T/A features, but not with CD. The 701 would be the most likely add on for what you want to do...

Yeah, the 105 doesnt have an external box, but if you are using the external processor does it matter? arent you just using the dvd unit as a screen and transport?
