First thing i mean no offence with this topic..
I went to usa day for check out the audio comps cos im thinking of entering my car when the install process is finished, and its not ghetto.. The SPL section of things seemed alright, but from what i saw from the SQ comp it seemed like a bit of wank to be honest.. My impression from the day was that its just mates judging their mates.. Im not really all that into the whole competition thing so i wouldnt really no im just going on what i saw on the day, but surely thats not fair to anyone like myself who isnt in car clubs or a big part of the audio/car scene.. I dunno i may be wrong, but what do you guys think?
Congrats to the fella who won the SPL A btw, im guessing it was self destruktor because of the 3512 but not sure :P

Yearsh, it was me.

Thought it might have been you that I was having a chat to.
Obviously it wasn't a guess when you mentioned the model of your sub, you've done your research.

I was getting a bit annoyed on the day because everything took such a long time to get going.
If you look through some of the threads in this section you'll find plenty of arguments about the Tassie scene, particularly with SQ.
I don't know whether you noticed, but the loudest burp of the day was started with the passenger door open. She should have been disqualified, but her boyfriend is a TASASCA member as far as I know.

Not much we can do though, nobody else is doing anthing at this stage.
I am going to buy a DBM-2 meter at some stage, though, so at least some of the local SPL enthusiasts can do some testing and tuning in the 9 months of down time.

Just about to start a USA day thread....

You heading to Tas Nats (http://www.tarmakdra...tassieNats.html) for the sound comp? Also the Burnie car show is coming up, you going to take 1st place this time? Think that may of been the last time we caught up... that year went quick!

And much luck with the DBM-2 meter?

Not enough cash to spare right now.
Don't have enough time to set up for Tas Nats.
Dunno about first place, depends whether the Getz is loud or not.
Yeah, I bought a Getz, a brand new shiny red one.
I'll start a thread at some stage.

At the moment i'm researching whether I can keep my steering wheel controls with my current headunit.
Not looking likely, so I may be forking out for a new one.

Need to change my avatar :P
