Am currently doing a bit of research for some amps to run front stage. I was set on getting 2 focal 2.150 to run semi active but have realised that there crossover only do hp or Lp 50hz - 150hz.
If this is the case it elimates any one going active using there amps. Stupidity i think for an amp of there quality!!!

you can still go active with these amps, you will just need a more versatile H/U or electronic Xover to seperate the frequencies before getting to the amp. Maybe they asume thats what people would be more likley to have theese days, that would be buying their amps. Not to many amps have band pass xovers, so that is another reason you may need another xover if you want to go down that track

I going to use OEM h/u as i have sat nav, i was thinking of using processer (3.sixty or similar) so that would allow me to seperate freq before reaching amps. So it wouldnt be a problem if i went down that way i guess.

what are you planning on running off the amps?
i'm assuming a 3 way setup by "semi-active"...

but yes, do the crossing over via head unit or processor..

The only excuse for passive crossovers is their low cost. Their behavior changes with the signal level dependent dynamics of the drivers. They block the power amplifier from taking maximum control over the voice coil motion. They are a waste of time, if accuracy of reproduction is the goal.
