ask Data_mine. He swears by them and manages to get his car sounding pretty good.

mind you, he also swears by his Cadence sub in a 7.8cu ft ported box so, :unknw:

they are fine for the price, it depends on how serious you want to do your SQ install.

whats your total planned budget, and what other stuff do you need to buy?

The only excuse for passive crossovers is their low cost. Their behavior changes with the signal level dependent dynamics of the drivers. They block the power amplifier from taking maximum control over the voice coil motion. They are a waste of time, if accuracy of reproduction is the goal.

Having used the jaycar amps from the past range id say avoid for SQ.
The problems I've had are constant and high hiss, faint popping and static directly associated with the amp of which is either isolated to one channel or two; on 4 channel amps. A simple hiss was found to be associated with bridged two channel amps powering a sub.

Jaycar customer service though is second to none, and if you are to succumb to similar problems with the currant line up as i did repairs for the problems hopefully will result in similar customer service, direct no questions asked exchange or free of charge repair within the warranty period.

For sub amps, besides the HISS they performed very very well for there cost. As per a full range amp? In the end they were removed all together as they were unbearable for SQ.

I got the trophy's to prove it too, smartarse.

I'll be the first to admit they're not perfect, but they're far from poor/bad, and the price is great for what you get.
