The 2008 MEASQ National Event is the social highlight of the year for MEA members from around the country. Entry is open for all competitors, and gives a chance for members from each state to thrash it out against other competitors they often don't have the chance to.

240V Power: 240V will not be available at this location. If you need it, you may need to look into hiring a small generator.

Accomodation: A discounted Group Booking has been arranged with Canberra Lakes Carotel. A range of accomodation facilities are available, all those seeking accomodation need to contact Carotel directly. Please tell them you are with the MEA booking when speaking with them.

Presentation: Presentation will take place during a free BBQ Dinner at the Carotel Hotel on Saturday night. Estimated time 7:00pm. BBQ food, + salads and veggie burgers. If anyone would like anything else, you are more than welcome to BYO food.

Rule Enforcement: During the National, rules for the 2008 season will be heavily enforced. This includes such criteria as wiring safety (including adequate protection of battery terminals), presence of fire extinguishers etc. Any car not complying with any rule will NOT be given a second chance.

Entry for the National Finals event is strictly on a pre-entry basis with no exceptions.

Some exams are on Saturdays. I think I always had at least one Exam per semester on a Saturday at 8am

I've never had a weekend exam, but if the exam is on the week after the comp (for example) then the exam will take priority and I might have to give the comp a miss.

It's pretty unlikely that it will fall on that week, but it's possible - hence why I need to check the timetable :)
