The only excuse for passive crossovers is their low cost. Their behavior changes with the signal level dependent dynamics of the drivers. They block the power amplifier from taking maximum control over the voice coil motion. They are a waste of time, if accuracy of reproduction is the goal.

Try PM'ing a few of the guys who have posted in this section. Maybe you could be the new catalyst to get the ball rolling down in Tassie again.

There are a couple of regulars from down Tassie (selfdestruktor comes to mind).

Perhaps you could organise a social meet somewhere like a convenent park on a weekend have a quick meet up social chitchat and then head off for a few malt sandwiches and some pizza.

PS - Tassie rocks!

I just haven't had the time to troll around the forums lately.
Everything in Tassie happens between late January - early April, then it goes quiet for the rest of the year.

And as for down south.... I live on the north west coast, so you're out of luck there too.

My interest in this area has been somewhat dampened over the last year or so.
Paying for gear and waiting months, and in one case still waiting for something I ordered nearly two years ago, gets you down a bit.

Was it the amp you are waiting on?

Now the weather is starting to warm up people will start to go outside again and hopefully see more meets etc.

Sammy - Are you in Tas, noticed your location is NSW? What do you drive?
