have the american version, lately when my screen opens up the display either freezes on what it is on when it open or doesn't display anything at all, bit annoying when u need the screen for most functions of the deck.
anyone had this problem or know what it might be? also is there a reset button anywhere

any help would be appreciated

just for my information/research, and you may choose not to answer them, but was this unit imported (Ebay etc)? Purchased how long ago?
I don't know of a reset button, if it has one it will be behind the face and you'll need to press it with a pin. If not, just disconnect power to it. Unplug it or pull the constant fuse.

it will be a nice and expensive exercise with no warranty...

Reset button is a little indent on the front face. Just left of the big right hand button. Thats where it is on a 9650 any way.

Maybe Enigma should read this thread cos he seems to be arguing with everyone telling us how sweet ebay is.

Oh well lesson taught is a lesson learned.

That's a different model... Plus it's cheaper to buy the part from Pioneer in Oz.

For you who choose not to read. Even if it was bought here, warranty would have expired after a year...

This could be as simple as you not placing the screen on right eery single time. I know that if I get mine slightly crooked or whatever then simular problems happen (the screen may open but the bottons won't work etc).

Not wanting to insult your intelligence - but I thought that there was something wrong with mine as well and it just turned out to be something that simple.
