So what did you use for mounting in the end Marc?

'01 GU II TD42T
4" Suspension Stuff / Dobinsons Flexi Coils, Amada Xtreme remote reservoir shocks, evolution drop boxes, 80 series bump stops, braided extended brake lines, 18/20mm swaybars, superior swaybar disconnects, 285/75R16 MT MTZs, 3" Scotts Rods Exhaust, Tigerz11 12,000lbs Grande winch w/dyneema rope.
Custom dents and scratches reminding me of the good times ;)

I've bracketed them at the top, which would shear off in an accident (where its screwed). I've used cable ties to take some of the weight at the rear.
It's certainly not ideal but will use as is for the coming event. After that, I think I will drop the car down to Phatt, and have some more serious integration done, higher in the dash out of the way of your shins.

Sometimes you just need a job done properly! :)

It's a PITA. I solved another issue today. I had trouble with one horn seeming to have more emphasis than the other and have tried all sorts of things to address it. I finally came to the conclusion that it must be a cable / amp / eq. I discovered one of my Audison RCA's (10 year old mind you), was breaking down at higher volume. That would explain why when I would play all the "left channel, right channel" tracks it was perfect. Yet when I cranked it with music, one horn was louder.

Problem solved :)
