As a hands on & behind the desk Engineer; can i add to the fodder.

Experiance & Theory together are greater than the sum of their individual parts.

Or, known as in the Engineering world, mutually inclusive
.

I'd choose A over B any day - Option C is rare in the world of SQ.

The Quote is referring to Engineering Principles, more in a field where you arent going to be given the option to make too many mistakes. You only build a few bridges that fall over, and even after learning from your mistakes, you'll never get the opportunity to build the proper bridge ever again.

Car Audio is more forgiving, but the problem most of us face is, we dont have 10-20 different installs over 10-20 years to develop our skills. Reading the books, learning the knowledge, and application of that knowledge allows the final results to be achieved in a much shorted life-span.

There is good reason why Option 'C' is rare. It requires effort. Not just physical effort either, but mental. You only need to look around to see the sum of cars displaying the evidence of such a path. You can count them on your hands. Doesnt make the path any less worthy though, just less travelled.

Then again, the path that most fail to tread tends to be the path that is the most rewarding.
