Im thinking about having my system tuned by the pro's using an RTA and then having them manually tune it after having a read through on of the threads regarding the Pioneer DEH-P80RS.
Currently the EQ is all on 0 FLAT. Im happy with the sound but if i can get it to sound even better using the EQ I would do so..
My question is who I should take it too?
The system consist of
Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P80RS
Front Splits: RE Audio XXX 6.5'
Zapco Ref 2 Channel
Sub: 10" ID MAX
Zapci Ref mono block
a simple system, not running active or anything like that so wondering if its worth doing or not? and if so who should i take it too

iv just used the auto eq mic on my pioneer and my god the difference is 100 times better then where i had it before and i was happy with the sound then!
so i will be definatly taking it in to get RTA'd and tuned by a good set of ears...
Im thinking Alberts Cannington or Westside Cannington i just need to see if they have RTA's, I was thinking A&T but believe Yany has sold the business?

Cant stress enough, DO IT YOURSELF. I had mine level set and tuned by someone i would rate as one of the best in Perth and straight after changed it to my likeing, basicly wasting my coin, this is not putting the tuner down but at the end of the day we all have different tastes and different ideas as to how our system sounds best to us.
I would only use an RTA to get the response as flat as your car and setup can get it (benchmark) and then tune for sound quality from there, always having that EQ setting to go back to if thing go to sh*t, im not sure how much EQ the P80 gives you???? anyway just my 2 cents worth.

Come to next weekends MEAWA comp at the new Alberts store in Rockingham ( Sat 23rd May 12.00pm) and there will be a heap of us around to run through your systems setup with you, including industry people who you can talk to about booking a time to use their RTA, your bound to go away with a bit more knowledge or a bloody sore head.
