Looking for some advice here guys.

Currently I have my Polk SR6500's running Bi-Amped through the factory cross-over. They are being powered by a JBL P80.4. That puts out (rated) 40 wrms @ 4 ohm. After talking to a few others with the same speakers, they have said I need to give them more power to really come alive. Since the Polk's are rated @ 125 wrms.

I currently have the car apart and at the panel beaters getting some repairs. So when it comes back , I will be deadening and sealing the doors. But I am wondering am I better of bridging the JBL amp giving me a (rated) 2 x 160 wrms @ 4 ohm and running the Polk's passive?

Or am I better off, getting rid of the P80.4 and getting something with say 4 x 100 wrms? (This would be the last option, as that means I will have to delay buying a Bitone.1)

I'd bridge current amp as its a no cost option and see what you think.
