no competition!

Q: How do you know if you're too drunk to drive? A: You swerve to miss a tree then realise it's the air freshener hanging from the rear view mirror.

You took the words right out of my mouth!

Personally, i dont care what any 'alpine' fanboys might say, but i'd never buy an Alpine product over an equivalent Boston Accoustics product.

It's like comparing a camry to an E-class Merc, it just don't work :P

G5 is to Type-R as Boags Premium is to VB :)

um this is a bit of an unfair comparison considering the price differences of the 2 subs i think G2 versus Type R and G5 versus type X might have been a bit fairer on the the alpine products, and im aware the boston products would probably still be the pick between the two. And no im not an alpine fan.

forget price difference, they are just on different planets for comparison...

I'm confused!

A camry is almost identical to an E-class Merc, why won't it work?

I'm guessing thats sarcasm at work ? lol

if not then i guess a few issues like:
1) refinement
2) technology and innovation
3) safety
4) performance
5) handling
6) braking
7) status
8) resale value
9) apperance
10) cabin ambience
11) RWD vs FWD

In fact, i think its easy to say what is comparable then what isnt.. i.e. they both area similar size, have four doors, have an engine, and are built in a factory :)
